Why you can trust the numbers
A reconciliation is only useful if the matching is fair. Here's exactly how rows are compared.
Keys are matched fairly
Keys are compared after normalising case and trimming stray spaces, so INV-1001 and inv-1001 are treated as the same row — not reported as a false mismatch.
Amounts are compared as numbers
$1,250.00, 1250 and (1250.00) are compared by value, not by string — so formatting differences between two systems never raise a false alarm.
No row is ever dropped
Duplicate keys are surfaced, not hidden — every row on both sides appears in the report so you can see the whole picture.
